The record dates Portrait of Madame Augustine Roulin to 1888, the Arles year. Eight titles in this catalogue carry the Roulin name: five dated 1888 and three dated 1889. The name crosses the boundary between the third and fourth periods of this site's chronology, which is a fact about dates in a record and not a claim about where any of the eight were painted.
What the record gives
The canvas measures 65 by 55 centimetres and is held by the Oskar Reinhart Foundation in Winterthur, one of four entries here in that collection, dated 1886, 1888 and 1889. The measured palette reads as ochre and yellow.
