The record dates Pear Tree in Blossom to 1888. Nineteen titles in this catalogue carry the word blossom, and thirteen of the nineteen are dated 1888 — one is dated 1887, one 1889 and four 1890. Thirteen against six is the whole of the motif's distribution: more titles carry it in that single year than in the other nine together.
